Abdominal pain

I have left side abdominal pain that at times radiates around to the front and back just under the rib cage. It is a pian that is there most of the time but sometimes comes and goes. When i lay down it doesn't bother me. And is most notable when I am driving my car. I am 55 years old with no history of medical issues.

What you've described here sounds more like a problem in the muscle, from possible muscular sprain.
Why not take some simple over the counter pain killer, and if the symptoms persists for more than three days, see your doctor.
