My name is Jamielee I am a 27 year old female. I have given birth twice. I have no health problems (expect for gallbladder)I have only had two surgical operations one was to have my gallbladder removed and the other was breast implants. I had my gallbladder removed almost 2 yrs ago and i am still getting attacks they feel pretty much the same except they are lasting longer and they feel a lot stronger What is this?
Why am I still having attacks? What can i do to fix it?

I had my gallbladder removed 6 months ago and im still getting flare ups of the pain which is exactly the same as before the gallbladder was removed. Ive been admitted to hospital twice and often have to go to the hospital to be treated with morphine as the pain is so sever. I've had an endoscopy today and having a CT on thursday but when i was in the waiting room, I was looking at some leaflets detailing biliary colic, All the symptoms are the same and im fairly certain after looking it up that this is what's wrong with me. I would say ask your gp or consultant to test you for this. That's what im doing at my next consultation.

Questran by: Anonymous
Ask about Questran(cholyestramine-generic). It is a powder you mix with juice or water. It absorbs the bile that flows freely not that your gallbladder is removed.

Could be another stone by: Anonymous
I had my gall bladder removed and had symptoms very similiar two years later. When finally ending up in the emergency room sure that I was having heart issues, it was found that I developed another stone the size of a quarter blocking my bile duct despite having my gall bladder removed through emergency surgery 2 years earlier.

NO gallbladder but same pain by: Anonymous
See a Doctor. I have biliary colic. Sounds like the same thing. May or may not be linked to something more serious.

Gallbladder removed in '08 and still having random attacks that are as painful as before the surgery, and as painful as a labor contraction. If I lay on my right side and breathe thru the pain it will eventually subside. Ibuprofen did not do anything for it. Morphine at an ER visit did not help. Gallbladder removal did not help. Now I just breathe and wait, since I feel like going to ER will do nothing but cost $$$. Happens on an empty stomach, too. No fatty food.
