left side discomfort

i have this discomfort on the left side of my stomach no temp no nausea--lots of gas does not hurt when i like feel around my stomach but it is just a nagging gnawing discomfort
seems to be along the rib line
Dear Cathe,
What you describe could be due to constipation, or irritable bowel syndrome or trapped wind.
It will be very important for you to be examined by a doctor t exclude other more serious possibilities.
I will therefore strongly recommend you go and see your doctor, if symptoms does not get better after three days, or indeed if your symptoms seems to be getting worse. How do you feel about that?
In the mean time, why not try taking some pain killers like paracetamol and perhaps some more fruit and fibre in the diet?
