Pain of abdomen after eating and last for hours
Under right breast continuous pain especially after eating. Have had constipation for about a week. Have been taking prescription lactulose 667 mg twice a day (causes a lot of gas) and glycerine suppositories. Had bowel movement last night, then a lot of gas with diarrhea. Have had the pain on upper right side since then. Did not take lactulose today or glycerine suppository yet. What do you think I should do.
I had liver cancer surgery in December and surgeon removed 2 lobes. Has cat scan and blood test in July and everything looked good.

Dear Joanne,
Have you had your gallbladder removed? If no, it sounds very much like that, the pain could be coming in from your gallbladder, a condition we call biliary colic.
Even if you have had your gall bladder removed, there is a pain that can still continue to come on after eating on the right upper abdomen from a condition we call sphincter of oddi dysfunction.
You can read more on this by following the link below.
I would suggest you see your doctor to explore this avenue - either have an abdominal ultrasound scan if you have not had your gallbladder removed, or an abdominal MRI if you have had gallbladder surgery, and still gets this pain continuously.
I hope you get to the bottom of the cause of this pain soonest.
Good Health To You.
