I had this two months ago and its back, pain starts on right side then on right side of my leg,had a ct and colonoscopy all they found was non-bleeding diverticula in the sigmoid colon and diverticulosis but in moderate severity. But again pain is back what is going on need help.
Dear Ana,
The information provided could be a bit more. Are you male or female? How old are you roughly? How long does the pain last for when it comes on? What is the usual level of severity, say on a scale of 0 to 10, ten being the most severe pain ever? Are there any other associated symptoms? What makes the pain worse or better? What is your bowel habit like? Does the pain in your right lower abdomen also spread to your back and then upper thigh and legs?
If you are a lady (from the name Ana), is there any relationship between your menstrual period and when the pain comes on? When exactly did you have your last period and when did the pain start?
The cause of such intermittent pain that starts from the right lower abdomen and spread down to the leg could include ovarian cyst problems (in females), testicular or scrotal cysts (in males), it could be an internal hernia, or runners stitches, if you are very "sporty".
I think the best thing to do is to see your doctor again and you may need re-evaluation and repeated testing to be able to arrive at the diagnosis.
Please do not hesitate to provide us with more information and see if we can put our heads together to work out what might be causing your right sided abdominal pain that spreads to your leg.
Thank you for using our free online services, and looking forward to hearing back from you.
