Right abdominal pain by belly button

For the last month or so I have had a dull pain about 3 inches and one inch down from my belly button. It hurts mainly when I am standing up or walking. It started when I put on meds for high cholesterol. I quit using the meds and the pain went away for 3 or 4 days but came back. I have no other medical conditions so that was the only meds I was using.I have had no operations in that area. I am a male and am 62 years old. The pain isn't a sharp pain and is only in the area mentioned.
